Welcome to The Adolescent Leadership Council Home Page! The Adolescent Leadership Council (TALC) is a group composed of teens and Brown student mentors, all with chronic medical illnesses. Founded in September 2005, the group meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year. Discussions and activities focus on topics such as friends, families, transitions, and how they relate to chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, sickle cell disease, and many others. In addition to the teen/mentor group, TALC has a concordant parent council comprised of parents of TALC teens. |
