The Adolescent Leadership Council

TALC Jr. is a program for pre-teens 8-12 years old.  The teen members of TALC lead the TALC Jr. members in discussion and activities related to being a pre-teen and living with a chronic illness.  We will hold 4 TALC Jr. activities this year.  When a TALC Jr. member turns 13, they will be eligible to join the main TALC group.

 

Parents of TALC Jr. members are welcome to stay for a parents group during the TALC Jr. meeting that will include TALC mentor facilitators and parents of the TALC teens.

All meeting are held in the Gerry House Lounge on the Hospital Campus.  Dinner begins at 5:30pm, while the main group lasts from

6:00-8:00pm. A parents group is offered at the same time.

The camp will be held on the Rhode Island College campus.  TALC Jr. campers can be dropped off in the morning.  Parents are then welcome to join us for dinner and an awards presentation at the end of the day.  The exact times will be announced closer to the date.
