Our Fall TALC Jr. event was a huge success. We had 5 TALC Jr. participants and 3 high school (TALC teen) mentors. After arriving, we played a game of all my friends, took some time to draw our illnesses and then share them with the group. We continued with a discussion about diagnosis and what it is like to have a chronic illness as a pre-teen. We finished with a “trash sculpture” competition. A good time was had by all, and we look forward to next time! |
